Teledyne Brown Receives Raytheon 5-Star Supplier Excellence Award

Teledyne Brown was recently recognized by Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems with its 5-Star Supplier Excellence Award.  The award is the highest-level of recognition a Raytheon supplier can achieve for excellence in quality and performance, and TBE is one of only 14 companies to be selected.

Suppliers are evaluated by Raytheon on three criteria: on-time delivery, sustained quality performance, and commitment to continuous improvement in process and quality.

Teledyne Brown machines and assembles hardware for Raytheon that is integrated into the Airborne Mine Neutralization System (AMNS), which is used to destroy mines. The company also manufactures the towed body midsection of the AN/AQS-20A mine-hunting sonar for Raytheon. Both systems are key components of the U.S. Navy’s organic mine countermeasures strategy.  

“This is an especially gratifying award because it speaks to our corporate commitment to quality and delivery,” said Rex Geveden, TBE President.  “I am very proud of our manufacturing team who met 100 percent of the delivery milestones without discrepancies on some very complex hardware.”

Teledyne Brown was presented the award during a Raytheon Supplier recognition ceremony held in Andover, Mass., earlier this month.
