Wellness Program Sponsors Go Red Day

The TBE Wellness Program celebrated “Go Red Day” on Friday, Feb. 5, in the Blue Bat Café.  The event was held to raise awareness and help fight women’s heart disease.

Employees throughout the company were seen wearing red in support of the event, and TBE Wellness Manager Jennifer Geist, RN Jamie Criss, and Wellness specialist Shanna White were on hand in the cafeteria during lunch to talk with employees and hand out information and dark chocolate hearts.

For a $5 donation to the American Heart Association, employees had the opportunity to win a $50 gift card to Connor’s Steak and Seafood.  The first 30 employees who donated to the drawing also received an official “Red Dress” pin.  Anita Hand was the lucky winner of the gift certificate.

The Wellness staff would like to express their appreciation to all employees who wore red on Friday in recognition of Go Red Day and especially to those who participated in the lunchtime event that helped raise $210 to help fight women’s heart disease.
