Due to the fact that TBE has employees in several locations, the easiest way to get the tournament information distributed is through email. We have a "Golfers" distribution list and if you would like to be included on this list to receive pre-tournament information and reminders please contact Patricia Pyles via email: Patricia.pyles@tbe.com.

Most TBE tournaments are limited to 40 people (10 tee times). Email reminders will be sent out 3 to 4 weeks prior to the scheduled tournament. Some courses require the green and cart fees at least a week in advance; for those tournaments money will collected prior to the tournament. Fees for the moneypot events will always be collected prior to every tournament. Tournaments are for TBE employees (current or retired), if you have an out-of-town visitor or relative that you would like to play with, please contact me and we'll try to work that out. Since these tournaments are company sponsored and the golf ball prizes for low net, longest drive and closest to the pin are furnished by the company, first priority for tournament participation will go to employees.

Handicaps: To receive an established handicap for the tournaments requires you play in 3 TBE regular format tournaments. Until you have an established handicap with us, the Calloway system is used. If you have an established PGA handicap with one of the country clubs or courses here, you can bring me a copy of your card and that handicap will be used until you are able to establish a TBE handicap.

Tournament Formats: All TBE tournaments are either Regular Format (individual stroke or medal play), or 4-Person Scramble Format. Regular Format tournament prizes consist of golf balls, which are awarded for Low Net, Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin in 2 Flights. In the regular format tournaments there is also an Optional Moneypot, which consists of a Team Event (2-Man Best Ball) (You MUST sign up with a partner for this event), where you record the lowest NET score of the 2 man team to come up with a Team Net Score. There is also an Individual Event (Dogfight), where you score points on each hole for Boogie or Better golf. Prize money is usually given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place in 2 flights (depending on participation).

The Scramble tournaments will vary based on format of that particular tournament. Specifics on those tournaments will be established and that info will be sent out with the announcement on that particular tournament. Handicapping/flighting will be used in all of these type tournaments to insure fairness. Entry fees will be required when using the scramble format and prize money is will given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place in 2 flights (depending on participation). There are also golf ball prizes given for Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin.
