TBE Support Employee of the Year

 

F. Umeka High, SEPS Administrative Support Lead, Aerospace Systems, was selected as the TBE Support Employee of the Year.


High performs a wide array of administrative duties directly supporting 22 individual contracts and the Space Exploration Systems team and its multiple directors, including 15 project managers and approximately 200 personnel.  She consistently leads the generation of all individual contract deliverables, which have never missed an on-time delivery since contract inception and have contributed to positive contract performance evaluations.  High also spearheaded a new contract badging process and led the effort to generate a contract database for tracking current personnel information.


According to her nominator, “Umeka possesses impeccable traits of customer focus with both internal and external situations, always demonstrating a friendly and professional attitude.  She frequently works long hours to complete tasks on time and always displays a willingness to learn and assist others.”


High holds an Associate degree in administrative science from Motlow State Community College.

TSI Administrative/Support
Employee of the Year

 

Mark V. Sutherland, Security Administrator in TSI Document Control, was selected as the TSI Administrative/Support Employee of the Year.


Sutherland has 27 years of security experience at TSI and formerly at TBE, where he worked in TBE Security and as manager of the TBE Technical Library.  His work at TSI reflects his outstanding teamwork attitude, positive work ethic, and exceptional customer support.  He is always willing to accept additional responsibilities and get the job done, whatever the task.  Sutherland also contributes and assists with numerous volunteer activities and charitable events at TSI.


According to his nominator, “Mark is focused on providing courteous and timely customer support.  He works tirelessly to meet deadlines, despite varying work loads, and always performs in an exemplary manner.  Mark is a valued contributor to the TSI Security Team.”


Sutherland earned a B.A. in English from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa.
