Update: Active-Duty Employees/Family Members
To honor our employees who are currently serving on active duty in our nation’s military and employees’ family members who are also serving, the TBE Online – The News Center is once again providing our readers with a recent report on the status of “our” troops.
Active-Duty Employees

Lt. Col. Brent Bradley (TBE Colorado Springs Office); U.S. Air Force; stationed at Peterson AFB, Colorado Springs, Colo.; assigned to USSTRATCOM; tour of duty has been extended to September 2009.
CW2 Bonita Canales (TBE Huntsville); activated in November with her National Guard unit in Huntsville; will be deployed to Iraq soon.
Major Nate Midberry (TBE Environmental Systems, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., Office); U.S. Army Reserves; stationed at Fort Sam Houston, Tex.
U.S. Army Reserve Captain John Moran (TBE Huntsville); 416th Engineer Command, serving second overseas tour, deployed to Iraq; served first tour in Southeast Asia in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He returned to work first of March.

MAJ Jim Richards
Major James Richards (TSI Huntsville), U.S. Army Medical Corps, previously retired; went on active duty June 2008 and stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C.; deployed to Iraq in the fall of 2008; plans to return to work in the summer of 2009.
Major Eric Ujfalusy (TBE Colorado Springs Office); U.S. Air Force Reserves; serves as a U.S. Air Force Academy flight instructor in Colorado Springs; expected to return to work Oct. 31, 2010. Major Ujfalusy is a 1992 graduate of the Academy and served in the U.S. Air Force before joining the Reserves.
Jeff Willis (TBE Huntsville); U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; activated in November 2008 and underwent training in Wisconsin before he was deployed to Baghdad in December 2008.
Active-Duty Family Members
Spc. Barry Askins, Jr.; U.S. Army; stepson of Brenda Askins; stationed at Schofield Barracks in Oahu, Hawaii; enlisted with the U.S. Army until November 2009 and will then serve in the Reserves for 4 years; returned to Iraq in October 2008 for his second tour there.
CDR Bradford Cooper; U.S. Navy; son of Brad Cooper; is currently serving as a Special Assistant to the Commanding General, United States African Command (USAFRICOM), Stuttgart, Germany.
Airman Stuart Dayton; U.S. Navy; son of Janis Dayton; currently assigned to electronic attack squadron VAQ-138 at Naval Air Station, Whidbey Island, Wash.; serves as Level E-3 Aviation Electrician, inspecting and repairing the electrical components in jets; January 2009 deployed for 8 months with CVW 9 Carrier Air Wing onboard the USS Stennis to the Persian Gulf.
Major Lane Gilchrist; U.S. Air Force; son of Mike Gilchrist; selected for promotion to Lieutenant Colonel; has been reassigned to 50th Space Operations Group at Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colo.
HMS Eric Hughes; U.S. Marine Corps; son of Bessie Harwell; based at Camp Lejeune, N.C., Bravo Company 2nd AAVS; served one deployment in Iraq; currently at 27 Palms in California for training and expected to be deployed in February to Afghanistan for 7 months. He and his wife, Samantha, are expecting a baby in March.
CW2 Todd Long; U.S. Army; son of Mike Long; returned from Iraq last summer; stationed in Savannah, Ga., where he flies the CH-47D Chinook helicopter for the 2/3 Combat Aviation Battalion (CAB).
Peyton McNully; Alabama National Guard; son of Karen McNully; returned home in November from 5-month deployment to Horn of Africa; currently employed at L-3 Communications as system engineer/web developer; plans to pursue electronic engineer degree from UAH.
Sergeant Kyle Nelson; U.S. Army; son of Ivy Nelson, combat medic with the 4th Brigade, 10th Mountain Division; served a 15-month tour in Baghdad; previously served 10 months in Afghanistan in 2006; returned to the states in January 2009 and will get out of the Army in April.
SSG William Seth Perkins; Alabama National Guard; twin son of Ray Perkins; completed his second tour of duty in Afghanistan last summer as a member of the Alabama National Guard; is now demobilized, a civilian, and enrolled at UAH to complete his computer engineering degree.
LT Jeff Seigler; U.S. Navy; son of Ed Seigler; stationed in Bahrain in the Persian Gulf; Operations Planner with the U.S. Navy Fifth Fleet. Seigler’s wife and family will reside in Colorado Springs during his tour of duty in Bahrain.
