Company Recognized for Support to Military Families During Holidays
On behalf of the North Alabama Veterans and Fraternal Organizations Coalition, Dave Carney, who serves as president of the organization, presented a plaque to the employees of the company in recognition of their donations to local military families during the holiday season.
TBE and TSI employees donated 116 company holiday gift cards from Wal-Mart to local families of activated military serving overseas.
Byron Bonds, who initiated the company-wide voluntary drive, and Patty Anderson, who served as a volunteer collector for the effort, accepted the plaque from Carney on behalf of the company.

The plaque is on display in the main
lobby of Building 1, along with photos
and a list of employees who have
served our country since 9/11.
The plaque reads, in part, “Presented to the employees of Teledyne Brown with appreciation for your support of our soldiers and their families.”
Carney, who coordinates the project through AUSA and other local military family support organizations, expressed his sincere appreciation to all who contributed,“The employees of TBE understand the meaning of service and support. Our Nation’s Armed Forces can do their work of protecting us so much better when they receive community support for their service members and their families. TBE does that with class. Thank you so much for your wonderful support.”
A special thanks to the following employees who served as collection points across the company at on-site and off-site locations: Patty Anderson, Suzanne Knight, Gail Nelson, Jackie Zarzour, Kokila Topiwala, Christy Reese, Candy Weaver, Kim Stiles, Billie Hoelzer, Aris Tanone, and Gary Cartee. |
