Whorton Named SDOS Director

Teledyne Brown Engineering has named  Dr. Mark Whorton as Systems Development & Operations Support (SDOS) Director for its Aerospace Systems group.

Whorton has a strong aerospace background and is a recognized academic as well.  He most recently served as the Chief of NASA Marshall Space Flight Center’s EV42/Guidance, Navigation, and Mission Analysis Branch.

Whorton has experience in mathematical modeling, flight simulation control system design, and dynamics analysis for aerospace and space vehicles.  He is a recognized authority on dynamics and control of flexible space structures and vehicles.  Whorton has also served as a technical expert for NASA and is an Associate Fellow with the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
